Ok so I went to my second debating meeting and we were deciding who would go to the first round. We all had to write out names on pieces of paper and put it in a box. I got Kim to do it with me and we both put our names in.

My name was the first to be drawn out and Kim's' was second. I am the Chairperson for round one.

Rossmoyne SHS is arguing affirmative against Melville SHS and the topic is "Uniform should be compulsory"

My speech is: Chairperson should stand up to deliver the opening section
 Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen and fellow students. My name is Selina and I'm the Chairperson for today's debate. The topic to be debated is: Uniforms should be compulsory.

The schools debating are Rossmoyne Senior High School and Melville Senior High School.

The affirmative of the topic will be argued by Rossmoyne Senior High School.

All speakers will debate for three minutes with a short warning bell at two minutes and a louder longer final bell at three minutes. Points will be deducted from speakers who continue more than 30 seconds beyond the final bell.

That day at Wind 3 I had a pen in my pocket and Mr. Coy kept saying things I thought were worth quoting so because I didn't have any paper on me I wrote on my hand. Bad idea because by the end of it my whole hand had writing on it!
